Terry is a self employed Automotive Engineer who has been in the Automotive trade since 1974. Terry started his own business in 1980 and spent the first 10 years in Bondi, Sydney where he was well recognised as one of the leading workshops in the Eastern Suburbs. In 1990 he relocated his family to Milton NSW where he built his own licensed workshop and concentrated on rebuilding V8 Holden Commodores, as well as performing restoration and service work. Terry has a very strong clientele base as well as a very good reputation in his local township, not only for his excellent knowledge and ability in the automotive industry, but also for his community involvement with the Milton/Ulladulla Tennis Club and the Shoalhaven City Council. 

Terry became a member of the Holden Sporting Car Club of NSW in 1987 and earned recognition for his ability to prepare and drive his own car with speed and reliability in 6 Hour and 24 Hour Relay Races, the Sports Sedan Restricted Race Meetings and Group 2E, on circuits such as Amaroo, Catalina, Oran Park and Winton Raceway. Unfortunately Terry's dreams of competing in the V8 Supercars Series had to be placed on hold due to personal circumstances and family commitments. Terry is now in a position where he can concentrate full time on his racing career and  is keen to finally fulfill his life long ambitions on the race track.

Terry registered MRTeam PTY LTD in September 2007 with one goal in mind - to take Marchello Racing Team to a professional level. The kids that once upon a time would play in the 'Terry's Car Repairs' commodore in between race heats, are now adults and have taken their places in the team alongside their father. Terry's sons Ryan and Reece, are both qualified mechanics who first started developing their driving skills in farm machinery and  'paddock bashers' as kids. With Terry as their mentor and Ryan and Reece's natural ability, they  have proven themselves as strong competitors on the track. Terry's daughter Shannan has taken on the role of administration, media and marketing, and Terry's cousin whom he grew up with, Anthony Cafarelli, has taken on the role of Team Manager.
